I listened to that clip and had a few thoughts.
(difficult to imagine, isn't it)

1) Doesn't he sound so reasonable in his presentation?
(No screaming, not spittle, no inarticulate noises, etc)

2) Isn't there a law somewhere about "voter intimidation".

3) I'm sure there is someone, somewhere who will actually utter a line very similar to this.
He's the "small business owner" who is very concerned with the bottom line, his own personal bottom line. Health care for his employees, a "living wage"? They aren't present in his reality.

I do so detest this hypocritical,psalm-singing,ignorant Arkansas hillbilly.It would be JUST LIKE him to have Loyalty Tests for employment.The Joe McCarthy of the Ozarks,that's him.

So a major GOP figure is suggesting that voter intimidation is going on by the GOP. Get Bill O'Reilly on this. He was so concerned over possible intimidation by the Black Panthers, he should go wild over this.

In fact, when Huckabee "crystallizes" an issue, nobody does care. Except mayby Roger Ailes and his sock puppets like Neil Cavuto.

So the Huckster has no problem threatening his employees with being fired if they don't vote the way that he wants them to. Fantastic leadership.

I wouldn't be shocked if this were true. On the Monday before the 1896 Presidential Election, thousands of industrial workers were greeted by signs outside their factories informing them that if McKinley lost to Bryan the next day, the doors of the factory would not open the following Wednesday.

Banks all over the country held up mortgages until after the Election, telling prospective customers that rates would soar if the Democratic candidate won.

Economic blackmail is not unheard of during Presidential elections. It happens to be illegal, but it's not like the current "captains of industry" are all that concerned about being prosecuted by this Justice Department, which is way too busy deporting illegal immigrants and jailing pot smokers to go after the real criminals.
